The RG421EXL is a left-handed RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2015. It is produced in Indonesia.
The RG421EXL features a mahogany body with binding bolted to a maple Wizard III neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with binding and white dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Quantum humbucking pickups and a fixed bridge.
The RG421EX is a right-handed version.
The RG421EXL was discontinued after 2017, but returned in mid-2019. For 2019 the body was replaced with meranti and the fretboard was replaced with jatoba. It was again discontinued after 2019, but was once again reintroduced in 2021.
